What you’ll do

  • Understanding stakeholders' requirements and translate them into concrete cross-platform architectural solutions.
  • Design, develop, and/or modify in-house engineering applications and services for processing large volumes of data to make high-quality automated global map updates.
  • Participate in big scale projects with modern technologies - Java 8, Cloud Computing, Jenkins Pipelines, Kibana & Elastic Search, Spring, Grafana.
  • Create and maintain high code quality and engineering standards - Pull Requests, Pair Programming, TDD, Test Automation, Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery.
  • Decide the best engineering approach, working autonomously on solving problems.
  • Be part of a highly skilled and experienced team and have opportunities to learn from each other.
  • Promote improvements for software development practices, processes, and standards with consideration of quality, innovation, and productivity.
  • Supports product owner to identify and determine short- and long-term requirements for the team.
  • Work directly with AWS & Azure cloud services.

What you’ll need

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent field
  • 4-to-10 years of experience with a proven track record in technical roles.
  • Expert hands-on knowledge of Java, J2EE, Hibernate, Spring, PostGreSQL, or other databases.
  • Proven track record with complex architectural designs and getting them developed / deployed. Good knowledge of design patterns and clean code principles.
  • Very good exposure to DevOps concepts and tools, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery.
  • Quick learner believes in continuous learning and acts as a catalyst for building learning culture within the organization.
  • Analytical thinking skills, problems solving with strong exposure to root causing tools and ability to come up with win-win solutions in complex business situations.
  • Exposure to machine learning and deep learning.
  • Puts the team before self, believes in and is capable of building strong teams across units and rallying team’s support for a cause.
