You've played product engineering roles, and have experience translating complex requirements into scalable, extensible implementations. You as Principal Software Engineer should have experience in developing cloud services, security and agile methodologies, who enjoys working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You are familiar with standard software engineering methodology, e.g. coding, unit testing, test driven development, code reviews, design documentation. You know when it's okay to take on technical debt, and you eventually pay it down. You ground your decisions with data and reasoning and can adapt to new information to make informed choices. You enjoy working in a collaborative environment and interact effectively with others. You bring thoughtful perspectives, empathy, creativity, and a positive attitude to solve problems at scale. You're willing to be coached and to coach others. You love solving problems and enjoy learning new technologies.
Position Overview:
This opportunity is with Citrix Workspace Security group, which builds world's highest performing and secure Application Delivery & Remote Access Services. In this role, you will work within a team of software engineers on problems of high complexity on our secure access and Zero Trust security solutions. The Staff Software Engineer is an advanced software engineer who designs, develops, tests, troubleshoots and debugs complex software applications, with increased responsibility for leadership and direction of others. The role recognized as a specialist in multiple fields, advises on design and development approach, and often acts as a Tech Lead working on complex projects and issues where analysis of situations or data requires both broad and in-depth evaluation of variable factors. The role also exercises seasoned judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. You will be involved with planning and prioritization of design and development activities to resolve a wide range of issues. You will be expected to demonstrate the ability to multitask.

In the state of Colorado, the salary for this role generally ranges from $167,440 -$209,300 but may vary depending on your qualifications including job-related education, training, experience, licensure, and certification, that could result at a level outside of this range. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including annual bonus, sales incentives, and/or stock depending on the terms of the applicable plan and role as well as individual performance. Benefits may vary depending on the nature of your employment with Citrix and the country where you work.
