As the Manager of Software Quality Assurance & Release Management in Naviguard IT, you will be responsible for ensuring that releases are implemented on time and on quality. Naviguard is a mission-critical part of portfolio and has many upstream and downstream systems that it integrates with, which makes this role highly visible and highly important. 

You’ll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Driving software quality initiatives and release plans to successful conclusion
  • Defining, preparing, and executing integration tests for users and features
  • Collaborating with other application development, quality assurance and technology infrastructure teams
  • Generating metrics for senior leaders
  • Leading reviews to ensure quality and compliance to the SDLC
  • Managing the delivery of software quality services in a large, complex application environment
  • Project and resource planning related to Software Quality Assurance and Release Management
  • Participating in ongoing process improvement activities
  • Recommending strategies to better support business needs
  • Developing methodologies and best practices to create greatest value for the services provided

Required Qualification:

  • 8+ years of experience in software quality practices

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Experience testing IBM Mainframe based software applications
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with solid planning and organization 
  • Demonstrated analytical and quality practices relative to software releases  
  • Demonstrated expertise with structured software quality assurance practices
  • Ability to develop effective cross-functional relationships
  • Familiarity with the health care industry of value
  • Expertise with automated software testing tools desired
  • Proven partnering abilities across teams involved in the entire SDLC
  • Demonstrated organizational navigation and relationship skills
  • Results oriented change agent

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $82,100 to $146,900. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $90,500 to $161,600. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
