The Last Gameboard is looking for a lead Electrical Engineer who can own and deliver electronic solutions that elevate gameplay experiences to the highest standards. This is a unique position allowing ownership of all things "EE" about Gameboard, from architecture to component selection, schematic capture and board layout to validation, EMI certification and manufacturing. Everything from advanced physical architecture (SiP) to highly power-optimized IC development.

As part of the team, you will be responsible for owning PCB/flex design from schematic capture to guiding PCB layout. This entails generating an accurate netlist, managing /optimizing BOM and layout design. Apart from circuit and PCB design, executing on validation plan as well as coming up with manufacturing test requirements will also be our major responsibilities. Experienced team members will get to influence future Gameboard architecture based on learnings from successfully executing their programs.

This position is based in Denver. Some international travel is required, as our teams go on-site for prototype build support. It is one of the most exciting aspects of the job.
Key Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience in prototype bring-up, debugging and functional verification
  • Strong working experience with PCB/flex development workflow. Successful candidates have the ability to stay organized, execute to a timeline, and deliver high quality designs.
  • Great EE fundamentals and analog design knowledge (circuit design, SPICE sims). This means you have a deep understanding of why our discipline works the way it does; you've developed an intuition and can apply it to new topics because you understand the basics.
  • Practical knowledge with various communication protocols (especially USB, SPI, I2C and UART)
  • Technical expertise in the following areas is especially desirable: firmware development, DC/DC power design, EMI design and mitigation, sensor design & integration
  • Understanding challenges in low power embedded systems is extremely beneficial.
  • Experience in designing high volume products from beginning to end and dealing with contract manufacturers is a huge bonus.

Education & Experience

BS/MS EE. 2+ years in consumer electronics industry experiences desirable, but not required.
