This is a highly technical Project Manager position responsible for executing the design functions of the Utilities Capital Improvement Program on behalf of the Public Utilities Department.
This position (PM IV) is responsible for the management and delivery of design-related tasks, such as engineering design, feasibility studies, route analysis, easement acquisition, permitting, and bid phase services.
Manages multiple disciplines on the most complex and challenging projects in the Utility CIP. Typical projects involve extensive coordination and collaboration with interagency departments, regulatory agencies, and citizens and communities where work is performed.

About You
Minimum Qualifications :
TIER III : A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Project Management or highly related field with five (5) years of engineering and / or project management experience.
A Master’s Degree in one of the above-mentioned fields can substitute for one year of required experience. Project experience can substitute for the required degree on a year-for-year basis.
TIER IV : A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Project Management or related field;
minimum seven (7) years related CIP project experience. A Master’s Degree may substitute for one-year of required experience.
Project experience can substitute for education on a year-for-year basis depending on the type of experience.
Preferred Qualifications : Professional Engineer licensed in the State of Florida; PMP certification preferred.
Job Competencies : Comprehensive experience in design, construction, contract administration, and management of large utility projects;
ound judgment and decision-making skills; excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Tier III $63,128.00 - $107,224.00
Tier IV : $69,451.20 - $117,936.00
