Currently, we are looking for a Lead Full Stack Developer to join our Client’s team in supporting a quickly growing federal team.

  • This work is remote.
  • Candidates must be US Citizens eligible for DoD Secret Clearance.
  • Candidates must have CompTIA Security+ or meet comparable IAM 8570 certificaiton requirement.

Job Description Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated self-driven Lead Full Stack Developer who can support design and development activities of a software modernization effort. The candidate will be responsible designing, building and ultimately delivering solutions architected to run in an AWS environment. This project uses Agile methodologies and DevSecOps practices to ensure consistent, secure and timely delivery of capability and the candidate should be prepared to operate in such an environment.

You will be working with a skilled team in an agile environment to support an application modernization effort utilizing your full stack development skills. You will be expected to:

  • Develop relationships across multiple groups
  • Contribute to customer satisfaction through quality code and on-time delivery
  • Support and promote test-driven development (TDD)
  • Continuously focus on and develop professional skills
  • Pursue training/tools to fill needs
  • Translate application storyboards and use cases into functional applications
  • Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code
  • Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
  • Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems
  • Apply industry best practices and techniques to design, develop, test, deploy, support, and maintain complex Java applications based on business requirements using approved technologies and coding standards.
  • Assist in project planning and architectural design reviews. Helping to plan for future system design and development updates.

  • Mentor and guide development team with any programming issues, ensuring collaboration, troubleshooting, and path to resolution.
  • Communicate with team, customer, and stakeholders in a clear, concise, timely, and professional manner.
  • Support documentation needs such as SLA’s, Software Design documents, SOP’s, etc.

Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Information Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Technology Management, or a degree in a closely related field

Overall Required Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Technology Management, or a degree in a closely related field
  • Two years of experience may be substituted with an advanced degree
  • 8 – 10+ years of experience
  • Experience designing and developing Java web-based applications
  • Experience working with relational databases such as Oracle or PostgreSQL
  • Experience with modern Java frameworks such as Spring
  • Experience in an Agile environment
  • Experience working with Agile tools (i.e. Jira, Confluence)
  • Experience working with Docker
  • Experience with a modern client framework such as React, Angular, Vue, etc.
  • Experience working with AWS and developing Infrastructure as Code
  • Knowledge of HTML & CSS
  • Experience with Jenkins and DevSecOps practices
  • Familiarity with Federal cybersecurity compliance work
  • Very good verbal and written communication skills
  • DoD Secret Clearance
  • Certifications: CompTIA Security+ certificate (can be completed after joining the team)
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with DoD, DHA, VA, Air Force preferred
  • Active Duty, Reserve or Guard experience, US Military
  • Local to Montgomery, AL preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $150,000.00 - $170,000.00 per year
