Job Description: 


Novetta is seeking a data engineer who is excited about using their technical skills to have a positive impact on national security. Our team leverages technological advances for better performance in all mission areas—collection, analysis, and operations—while protecting against technological threats to the security of the customer's information. We are a cadre of information management, data science, and technology experts dedicated to revolutionizing the way we "do data", while upholding proper protection, accessibility, and release mandates. The objective of our efforts is to accelerate the development and application of data science capabilities – including artificial intelligence and machine learning – to the customer's core missions. 


Basic Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field and a minimum of 5 years of experience; or a Master's degree in computer science or related field and a minimum of 3 years of experience.
  • 5+ years of experience working with Python and/or Java
  • 5+ years of experience in software development/engineering including requirements analysis, software development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing and problem diagnosis/resolution.


Desired Skills:

  • Demonstrated experience in Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) data engineering
  • Software development experience with JavaScript, Python, Java, or other modern programming languages.
  • Demonstrated experience working large volumes of data
  • Hands-on experience with Apache Spark.
  • Experience working with Databricks.
  • Experience developing applications in AWS.
  • Interest in statistical analysis, machine learning, or data science.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • High levels of curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.


Security Clearance:

  • Active TS/SCI with Poly
