Position Summary

Under the leadership of the Vice President of Facilities Services, the Life Sciences Construction Project Manager may serve clients across various industries. The incumbent will coordinate the activities of project staff and contractors engaged in construction activities, complex equipment installation, and commissioning. Project managers must be strong communicators, prioritize quality service to our clients, be comfortable leading meetings, and be comfortable presenting to senior executive and project teams alike.

The Project Manager will be responsible for managing superintendents and coordinating all trades; design and construction monitoring activities for projects involving details such as budget estimating, development and management; scheduling design and construction activities; architectural design; code review and compliance; regulatory approvals and permitting; construction phasing and logistics planning; contract development; supervising execution of work; and ensuring safety requirements are followed.

This individual will need an entrepreneurial spirit, relevant project management experience, and a mature business presence for successful engagement with both internal and external business partners.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree preferred, with a minimum of 5 years of project management experience and knowledge of GMP requirements; or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
Experience managing projects in the healthcare, life sciences, animal health, or biotech industries
Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to adapt both the communication style and content to suit the target audience
Ability to influence others
Experience in organizing, communicating, and leading change
