• Demonstrated experience and knowledge of accounting concepts and principles, analytical skills, and regulatory and statutory knowledge as they relate to Strategic Partnership Projects
• Knowledge of financial controls and accountability, and strong PC/MS Office skills (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and Outlook)
• A Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

SPP (Strategic Partnership Project) work implemented at Sandia National Laboratories includes areas of defense systems, energy, and climate technologies, and international, homeland and nuclear security, all which support the DOE’s mission. Reimbursable projects are used to perform work for non-DOE facilities, including, but not limited to, Other Federal Agencies (OFAs) and Non-Federal Entities (NFEs).

The SPP Financial Management Organization resides within Sandia’s CFO group and has five main products for all SPP work performed at the labs: budgeting, funding, cost monitoring, accounts receivable, and the closing out of agreements.

The resulting day-to-day activities of the SPP Organization are comprised of a customer-centric and cyclical operational environment. The SPP Organization does all this with a customer focus that brings functional expertise to both internal and external customers and helps them monitor and control their SPP projects.
