Work you’ll do / Responsibilities

• Large scale Policy Admin transformation including Front end quoting platform upgrade
• Troubleshoot production issues and work with DevOps with quick turnaround
• Coordinate the development tasks with offshore teams
• Work with business to understand the requirements and write approach documents
• Coordinate releases and manage delivery of code with devops

The Team

Our Core Technology Operations team delivers large-scale software applications and integrated systems, and assists clients with architecture design, assessment and optimization, and definition.

We develop service-oriented architecture (SOA) and other integration solutions to enable information sharing and management between business partners and disparate processes and systems, and we deliver technology enablement to support CIO services transformation.

Core Technology Operations professionals focus on key client issues that impact the core business by maximizing operational value, driving down the cost of quality, and enhancing technology innovation.

Our teams deliver a wide range of services, including application architecture design and optimization, application modernization, business process management and solution integration, custom application design and development, and large-scale technology delivery program efforts.

Required

• Bachelor's degree preferably in Computer Science, Information technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline or equivalent experience
• 4 years working with Java as a developer
• A strong Java 8, Spring, AWS Background, especially using AWS services like API Gateway, Cognito, SQS, SNS, DynamoDB, Kinesis, Aurora etc
• Experience with Drupal, PHP, React and Angular
• Experience with Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) technology like MuleSoft, Spring Framework
• Strong knowledge and comprehension of standards, specifications, standards bodies (e.g., XML, UDDI, JMS, Web services, etc.)
• Experience with implementing integrations with SOAP and RESTful APIs
• Limited immigration sponsorship maybe available
• Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries / sectors you serve

Preferred

• Experience delivering via an Agile / Scrum methodology
• A strong Java 8, Spring, AWS Background, especially using AWS services like API Gateway, Cognito, SQS, SNS, DynamoDB, Kinesis, Aurora etc
• Experience with React, JavaScript, HTML, CSS
• Must have Drupal, PHP, React and angular experience
• Experience with Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) technology like MuleSoft, Spring Framework
• Strong knowledge and comprehension of standards, specifications, standards bodies (e.g., XML, UDDI, JMS, Web services, etc.)
• Experience with implementing integrations with SOAP and RESTful APIs
• Experience with DevOps processes using tools like Jenkins, GitHub etc
• Knowledge of networking concepts like firewalls, whitelisting and blacklisting addresses
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments
• Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills (MS Visio, MS PowerPoint)
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment
• Strong analytical and technical skills
• Eagerness to mentor junior staff
• An advanced degree in the area of specialization
• The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets;

experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.

At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.

A reasonable estimate of the current range is $89,000 to $148,000
