Jobs Purpose:
Looking for a Mechanical Insulation Estimator / Project Manager who will serve as the lead of
the client’s estimating and project management team around the San Francisco, CA area. .The
Mechanical Insulation Estimator / Project Manager will work on high level work sites completing
estimating and project management tasks while demonstrating strong relationship management
skills. Characteristically, a successful Mechanical Insulation Estimator / Project Manager will
embody passion, be goal-driven, and encompass a desire to be part of a functional and
collaborative team.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Analyzes all documents, drawings, specifications, blueprints, schedules and project

plans to gain a thorough understanding of the project. Collaborates with the
management team to manage any updates.

  • Manages bid documents from both vendors and contractors;
  • Facilitates meetings and communicates with all parties throughout the bidding

process.

  • Practices good time management while completing accurate quantity survey tasks.
  • Constructs effective written proposals and sets up projects tailored to the needs of

each client and project scope.

  • Prepares projections such as labor budgets, job costs, and estimates and presents

the prepared estimates to the management team and other stakeholders involved;
Facilitates close out requirements.

  • Demonstrated accurate knowledge of the use of General contractor scope sheets

and project

  • Other tasks as assigned.

Software:
Blue Beam , On Screen Takeoff, PlanGrid, Quick Bid, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Education
Bachelors or better in Construction Engineering.

Experience:
5+ years of experience in commercial construction, experience with mechanical insulation
desired.

Preferred Skills:
Budgeting, Estimating, BluePrint Comprehension, & Project Management.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA’s)
Working technical knowledge of Estimating and Project Management methods and means.
Working knowledge of Estimating and Project Management Software.

Working Conditions:

  • Environment, such as an office or outdoors.
  • Exposures encountered, such as hazardous materials, loud noise, or extreme heat/cold.
  • Essential physical requirements, such as climbing, standing, stooping, or typing.
  • Physical effort/lifting, such as sedentary - up to 10 pounds; light - up to 20 pounds; medium -

up to 50 pounds; heavy - over 50 pounds.
