Program Manager Full-Time Position for Licensed MSW, MFT, PCC, PhD or RN

The Center for Child and Youth Psychiatry (CCYP) is an innovative county contracted program that began providing services July 1st, 2018. This program provides medication evaluation and monitoring to Medi-Cal and unfunded children and youth in San Diego County. Case management and linkages are provided through this program. Services are regionalized and performed through tele-psychiatry services. NAI is looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic and flexible program director who has excellent written and verbal communication skills.

New Alternatives, Inc. falls under the California Public Health Order and is additionally required by our county contract to ensure that all employees are vaccinated and boosted against COVID-19.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the direction and programming of NAI Center for Child and Youth Psychiatry
  • Recruits, hires and trains culturally-competent team members; ensures outcomes-- agency and county identified timelines are either met or exceeded
  • Oversees a certified Medi-Cal clinic that provides medication evaluation and management to children and youth
  • Ensures that the program operates in compliance with agency and county policies and procedures; complies with all federal and state regulations; meets all accreditation standards, and all contract requirements, goals objectives, and outcomes
  • Daily/weekly duties include, but are not limited to:

i) plans, organizes, and coordinates daily operation of program

ii) ensures staff training in all competencies relevant to CCYP services

iii) ensures that all staff have the tools and support needed to perform their duties

iv) ensures quality assurance functions are completed on time

  • Provides supervision of licensed clinicians, nurses, clerical personnel and psychiatrists
  • Effectively implements outreach strategies on a regular and ongoing schedule/rotation with community providers and resources
  • Monitors daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly statistics on program trends to assist team in making program shifts to better serve youth and families in need
  • Participates in clinical consultations as needed, providing clinical feedback and administrative direction; available 24hours per day/7days per week for consultation
  • Participates in trainings, exhibits competency and utilizes evidence-based & promising practices, as deemed appropriate; participates in the development and delivery of educational resources
  • Oversees tele-medicine services and technology used in the program
  • No travel
  • Additional duties as needed

Educational and Experience Requirements: A minimum of a master’s degree in an area or field of study that ensures eligibility for licensure as a clinical social worker, marriage and family therapist, or professional clinical counselor.

Licensure/Certification Requirements: licensed clinical social worker, licensed marriage and family therapist, or a licensed clinical psychologist. Current license required. Please do not apply if you are not licensed.

Other Experience Requirements: A minimum of one year full-time clinical experience post master’s degree working with youth and families and a minimum of two years of experience working with multidisciplinary teams.

Bilingual/bicultural preferred.

Pay: $75,000- $80,000/ year
