Our Opportunity

The Creative Project Manager is a critical role within the creative projects internally at GPJ. This role is a part of a GPJ regional team with an opportunity to work across multiple accounts. Our ideal candidate should be based in Boston, MA but will consider qualified remote employees.

Here are some responsibilities you will have in this role:

  • Understands both operations and functional practices as well as creative workflow and processes
  • Manages multiple projects, varying in scope, at one time while keeping projects on schedule
  • Reviews and assesses incoming project requests and briefs. Communicate with stakeholders as needed for additional information.
  • Works with CD to assign resources to new projects
  • Assesses project risk regularly, escalates issues as needed and provide solutions-oriented approach to stay on schedule
  • Monitors out of scope requests, elevates issues to CD and Account
  • Offers new, creative solutions that help improve quality of work and improve project management processes
  • Builds trusting and collaborative relationships with all resources and partner agencies

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to partner with internal and external stakeholders
  • 3+ years’ experience in project management.
  • Understanding of creative development processes across multiple channels
  • Proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects at one time
  • Strong project management skills, including budget and timeline creation and management
  • Ability to multitask, plan and organize
  • Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented
  • Experience working with a project management tool
  • Natural relationship builder
  • Experience in stakeholder management or customer engagement.
  • Detail-oriented and methodical approach to work.
  • Ability to deliver projects on time and to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Thrives working on a team but also independently and can self-direct
  • Strategic thinker that gets excited by building processes, scaling businesses and creating frameworks that enable growth and progress

Who you are and what you’ll bring:

Experienced Operations Management. Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant operations and workflow management experience of creative assets.

Collaborator and Project Manager. This is an incredibly collaborative and operations management-driven position. You will be required to develop relationships with every department within the client team as well as across GPJ.

Trusted advisor, partner and navigator. When you talk, people listen. As mentioned above, you will establish relationships with everyone from external clients, to vendors and most importantly your GPJ team. Being proactive in fostering team dynamics and culture is key to your success. This comes from your knowledge, expertise, and management skills.
