Develops, implements, and monitors national American Red Cross Gift Planning strategies for lead generation, marketing activities, and services to achieve the overall objectives of the gift planning team. Works with management to identify, develop, and implement effective and productive lead generation, digital outreach, marketing strategies, cultivation and stewardship, and unit planning.
In this position you will:
1. Formulates and develops the strategy for lead generation activities and services to include lead generation communication, product management, market research, advertising and public relations, marketing communications, business partners, or electronic marketing.
2. Develops lead generation goals that support the objectives of the Gift Planning Unit, and implement actions required to achieve success.
3. Develops and analyzes reports for the purpose of interpreting market conditions and potential for increasing the Gift Planning Unit’s public awareness, product and service base, and/or donor/prospect base.
4. Provides effective leadership in supporting staff around lead generation and donor outreach including recognizing, rewarding, and motivating staff to exceptional performance.
5. Develops and recommends the lead generation vision and goals for the unit communicates the vision; builds consensus; provides appropriate resources and delegates responsibility for others to implement.
6. Review and analyze product proposals submitted to determine potential benefits derived and possible justifications.
7. Responsible for the overall management of multiple product lines.
8. Create budget plans for national programs and provide quarterly forecasting.
9. Leads marketing, solicitation, and stewardship team including internal staff and external vendors. May supervise 1-5 internal staff members.
You will need to have:
Education: Bachelor's degree required.
Experience: Minimum 7 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.
Management Experience: 5 years of management experience.
Skills & Abilities: Knowledge of applicable principles, concepts, practices, and standards. Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Basic proficiency in the use of Personal computers, word-processing, spreadsheet applications, and database applications when applicable. Ability to work on a team.
Travel: May travel and participate in meetings and conferences throughout chapter jurisdiction, state, and Red Cross system.
Combination of candidate’s education and general experience satisfies requirements so long as the total years equate to description’s minimum education and general experience years combined (Management experience cannot be substituted).
