Working in the eprocurement sector for our Periscope product, we are currently looking for an Account Manager who can help define and develop this new role in a growing department. This new role will be essential in building relationships and trust with suppliers that are in contract with Periscope’s State and local agencies utilizing the Marketplace program.

The Account Manager Position will fully understand, support, and leverage a supplier’s lifecycle in the Marketplace program. The Account Manager’s duties include but are not limited to building relationships with suppliers, signing of contract amendments, working closely with the Supplier Enablement Team to ensure supplier catalogs are created within Marketplace, supporting suppliers with their spend reporting in Reconciler, and most importantly creating success for suppliers within the Marketplace program.

Hundreds of public entities and suppliers participate in the collaborative Marketplace program, a full online procure-to-pay service. Periscope Holdings provides the technology platform being rolled out to state agencies and local governments, bringing financial and administrative savings to them and their suppliers.

This position reports to Periscope’s Supplier Relationship Manager and will be located in the United States. Most of the work can be done from home.

Main responsibilities:

  • Understand our supplier’s lifecycle within the Transaction Model;
  • Assist in developing account strategies and collaborate with virtual teams on contract amendment deal execution;
  • Build and guide suppliers through an onboarding process to provide clarity to suppliers for Marketplace;
  • Assist in managing suppliers’ expectations and responsiveness through the supplier enablement process;
  • Work with suppliers to develop a strategic plan regarding their agreed State and local contracts;
  • Drive account optimization by building supplier relationships and providing customer success within Marketplace;
  • Work with suppliers to ensure timely submission of Spend Reports;
  • Manage communications, processes and activities around new and existing customers to drive success;
  • Improve customer satisfaction by offering and delivering value-added services;
  • Work effectively with distributed teams and consider strategic direction and input from other team members and the State Transaction teams;
  • Act as the customer advocate and participate in voice of customer initiatives;
  • Build solid relationships to understand our customer’s business needs and strategic goals;
  • Think outside-of-the-box when it comes to our customer’s success;
  • Maintain positive and professional demeanor with customers in all situations;
  • Enter and maintain customer data in a CRM and/or Smartsheet;
  • Regional travel may be required for this role (up to 15%) by land and/or air.

  • Highly organized, with exceptional planning and time management skills.


  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent;
  • 3–5 years in sales/account management experience with major accounts in the IT industry, preferably in digital/omnichannel commerce or in complex software solutions.
