We are searching for an Director/Lead for an Embedded Software Engineer to lead, design. develop, test, debug, and implement our embedded software and systems.

Embedded system design engineer duties and responsibilities:

  • Engineering Bachelor Degree (prefer PhD) with hands on experience 10+ years in MCU, FPGA , Digital Signal Processors & Mixed signal ASIC ICs
  • Proficient in Silicon IC design, architecture & system implementation with solid knowledge in mixed signal circuit design, digital signal processing, delta-sigma modulators, SW/FW algorithms
  • Proficient in full product life cycle silicon development, bring-up, testing, characterization, and production
  • Proficient in variety of CAE simulation tools
  • Proficient in user interfaces
  • Knowledge of power electronics circuits and sensing technologies is desirable

Required Skills and abilities:

Individual with solid experience 10+ years as an independent contributor:

  • Experience developing embedded real time code in C is required (and working knowledge of ARM assembly language is a plus)
  • Experience with embedded systems in real-time environments (bare metal and RTOS)
  • Experience debugging MCUs with IDEs is required, and for ARM is a plus
  • Experience with an RTOS is highly desired
  • Experience with MCU peripherals including SPI, I2C, UART, and delta sigma data converters is required.
  • Experience working hands-on in the lab, and with lab test equipment (oscilloscope, frequency generators, power supplies, ...)
  • Familiarity with source code control systems (git and/or subversion) desired
  • Excellent problem-solving skills dealing with complex system level issues related to HW/SW/ debug on discrete and silicon designs
  • Experience with scripting languages required and specifically python experience is desired

Education and Experience:

Bachelor in Electronic Engineering (Prefer PhD) with 10 + years of experience

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times
